'Hawaii Five-0' Scene Spotting: Double cliffhanger and a long summer

Joe White returns, Capt. Fryer is gone (but not without a fight) and we learn that "Shelburne" is... mom? Between that and the unknown fate of Kono at the hands of dirty cop Frank Delano, we'll be all atwitter until the Season 3 premiere this fall.

Here's where they filmed:

• Beautiful opening shots of Diamond Head and Waikiki surf breaks.
• Kono, however, wasn't surfing Waikiki: She exited the ocean at Waimanalo Beach.
• McGarrett's entering Five-0 offices, but it's really the administration building at Iolani Palace.
• Capt. Fryer walked out of the Cooke Street Diner around the corner from the Advertiser building, before being gunned down in a Kaka'ako alleyway. (Very strange, the call said the DOA was in Manoa. Those alleys don't look anything like Manoa Valley).
• Soaring overhead views of Diamond Head and Honolulu. What a beautiful town!
• Hello Aliiolani Hale, aka Five-0 headquarters.
• Overheads of Punchbowl and downtown Honolulu.
• The Honolulu Police Department parking entrance is over by Ala Moana Center.
• The Honolulu Police Department building is played by the old Advertiser building, both the corridors where they were pursuing Fryer's and Max's shooter and the high-speed exiting out the front. Ka-BLAM!
• Sweeping aerial shot of the pink Tripler Hospital, but the interior hospital shots were likely their standby: Hawaii Medical Center.
• The pet hospital was also in Kaka'ako.
• Great shots of Diamond Head from the ocean and at the peak, transitioning to the Diamond Head Lookout where Danno has his heart-to-heart with Gracie.
• Quick shot of Kapiolani Park and Waikiki.
• Kono's house is in Manoa. (See, that's Manoa.)
• Chin Ho releases dirty cop Frank Delano from Halawa prison.
• Chin Ho and Frank haggle over the lives of Kono and Malia at what looks like Kewalo Basin Harbor, but could be Keehi Boat Harbor on Sand Island.
• Looked like the stand-in for the Japanese village was waterfront on the Windward side of the island.
