'Hawaii Five-0' Scene Spotting sneak peek: McGarrett's back!
Wednesday, May 02, 2012
Hot on the heels of the "NCIS: Los Angeles" crossover episode, Steve McGarrett triumphantly captures Wo Fat in Japan.
Are we getting our Season 2 happy ending? Naaaaaah...
The Plot: Just as McGarrett finally gets his hands on his arch nemesis Wo Fat in a special ops raid, he's blindsided when he finds that the Japanese Yakuza is hot on their trail and wants them both dead. A sneak peek of the filming locations reveals a few tantalizing details:
The "Tokyo alley" is actually Chaplain Lane in downtown Honolulu. A group of us were singing live-band karaoke with The Johnnys at the Mercury Bar on Chaplain as they filmed that scene, and that was only a couple of weeks ago. Speedy work, editors!
Hard to say where the hotel room where Wo Fat was awaiting McGarrett is, but if they stayed downtown it might have been the Executive Centre.
We should be getting some good back-to-"LOST" jungle scenes on East O'ahu, but we'll see Monday if it's anything recognizable, such as the always dependable Kualoa Ranch.
Just TWO EPISODES LEFT until the end of Season 2! You can, as always, fly to all the top locations from both seasons on our "Hawaii Five-0" page on 3DHawaii.com.
