A very exciting new episode heads our way on Monday, with Emmy Award winner Ed Asner (pictured) reprising his role as a diamond smuggler from a 1975 episode of the original series, now out of prison after serving a 30-year sentence. (See interview video, below.) Tom Sizemore (Capt. Fryer) and Taryn Manning (Mary Ann McGarrett) also return to their recurring roles.
The Plot: When McGarrett's sister is arrested for trying to smuggle $20 million worth of conflict diamonds, he and Chief Fryer reach out to August March, an ex-con who served 30 years for diamond smuggling, to help arrange a sting operation. Photo: Norman Shapiro/CBS)
Taking a sneak peek at the locations:
The car accident happens in the Kakaako neighborhood near downtown Honolulu.
Asner is seated at Gordon Biersch, the outdoor section by the Honolulu Harbor waterfront, at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.
