'Hawaii Five-0' Scene Spotting sneak peek: Go 'Bows, go Kono
Friday, October 14, 2011
Looks like Kono's side drama is coming to a head in Monday's episode. Is she working undercover? Is Grace Park channeling her inner (and former) Battlestar Gallactica cylon? (That one was for the fan boys.)
The official plot line: "The FIVE-0's investigation into the murder of the state's women's volleyball coach leads them to find out more bad news about Kono." Get ready for the return of the menacing Vincent Fryer (Tom Sizemore), the Internal Affairs agent on Kono's tail, and dirty former cop Frank Delano (William Baldwin). (Photo: Fryer and McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) square off over Kono. Mario Perez/CBS.)
Scene Spotting-wise, we know they'll be at the Stan Sheriff Center at the University of Hawaii-Manoa: The show did a big call-out for UH fans for the scene a few weeks back. (Go 'Bows!) A few other filming locations spotted from the preview:
Kaneohe Bay as seen from the top of the H3 Freeway. (Beautiful shot!)
They corner Kono in the car under the H1 Freeway.
Corporate headquarters of Bank of Hawaii, on the corner of Bishop and King streets in downtown Honolulu. They filmed on the Fort Street Mall side of the building, spending most of a rainy Monday shooting some explosively loud scenes there with the gang dressed in Kevlar. (We could hear it a block away through walls. Impressive.)
You can, as always, fly to all the top locations from Season 1 (updating with Season 2) on our "Hawaii Five-0" page on 3DHawaii.com. See you next week!
