Fly to the top filming locations in 3D: Check out our 'Hawaii Five-0' Scene Spotting page >

Turns out Lanai was the star of the first neighbor island showcase in "Hawaii Five-0" — those south Lanai sea cliffs sure looked like Molokai in the preview. But there is definitely no mistaking all those pine trees: classic Lanai. Big props to the producers for island hopping. Good to see.

And welcome Tom Sizemore as Capt. Fryer of Internal Affairs (and a very menacing one at that), and Lauren German as Officer Lori Weston, assigned by the governor to "babysit" Five-0." (Photo: Danno (Scott Caan), McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Weston on the trail of cult kidnappers. Norman Shapiro/CBS.)

To the locations:

  • The Molokai2Oahu SUP championship showed several excellent scenes of the race in the Ka Iwi Channel that separates the two islands.
  • The finish line was at Waimanalo Beach.
  • We meet Officer Weston at the governor's office, but that may have been a stand-in.
  • McGarrett and Weston beef over her new role in the parking area next to Iolani Palace, same place where Kono (Grace Park) talks to Chin Ho (Daniel Dae Kim) about her troubles.
  • Quick Shots: Diamond Head Road, Kahala side, and the Leeward Coast.
  • Aliiolani Hale, aka Five-0 Headquarters in downtown Honolulu.
  • Quick shots: Waikiki and the shallow reef off Kahala.
  • A gimme: Manoa Valley where the parents' home is.
  • The getaway car looks like it was ditched somewhere in Waialua, but definitely not Kamehameha Highway.
  • Another gimme: The Wailana Coffee House, followed by a chase scene that ended at the entrance to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, corner of Kalia Road and Ala Moana Blvd.
  • We're off to Lanai! The grocery store where the Five-0 team get the 411 on the cult they're tracking looks to be either the Pine Isle Market or Richard's Market. Any Lanai people out there?
  • The Stables at Koele look to be where the shootout with the cult is. (Pictured: McGarrett on one of its denizens Photo: Norman Shapiro/CBS.)
  • Quick Shots: The boat harbor at Sand Island, followed by a final Aliiolani Hale, where we watch Fryer strip Kono of her badge...

... setting up next week's plot or the continuation of that story arc. Miss any locations? Fire them into the comments below or tweet us up!

The Quotable Danno

  • "I apologize, he lost his manners somwhere between the womb and kindergarten."
  • "C'mon, GQ."
  • "Let's see what she looks like when she gets done with Sgt. Slaughter's boot camp."
  • "How's the date goin', buddy?"
  • "Nice. How many people drinking his punch?"

And a very special shout-out to Lori Weston for saying what we've all been thinking:

  • "How long have you two been married?"

Looking forward: Jenna Kaye slinks out the front door without letting on that she's in kahoots (either willingly or no) with Wo Fat... unless McGarrett's just playing it cool.

As for Kono? Looks like she's under Fryer's thumb at least for one more episode. Stay tuned.

Fave Clip

The "top off." This, by the way, not a problem for those of us who drink our coffee black. Just sayin'. Looks like coffee's not the only thing brewing.
