Did that seem like an especially LONG summer to you, too?

The first sneak peek of Season 2 of "Hawaii Five-0" is here! Don't watch if you're "saving yourself" for the premiere next Monday, but — FYI — Alex O'Loughlin is doing push-ups. Just saying.

Meantime, scenes spotted from this short clip, which takes place one week after the Season 1 finale events occurred, include many of the faves from Season 1:

  • Diamond Head, overhead
  • Hilton Hawaiian Village (Nice angle, guys!)
  • National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl, where they lay Gov. Jameson to rest with full honors. (So long, Jean Smart.)
  • Hickam Air Force Base, where we first see Terry O'Quinn walking down the belly of a C-17. He's starring as McGarrett's mentor, Cmdr. White.
  • And a place we don't expect you to visit during your Hawaii travels: Halawa Correctional Facility. Love that ubiquitous sterile green.

And taking a guess where Kono is glumly waiting for waves: It looks like she's floating in the outer reef of Kailua Bay, or maybe Waimanalo Bay, based on the coastline and the Koolau mountains in the background. Good place to capture ocean flatness, but if she paddles a bit she might catch a few around Flat Island or the Mokes. Couldn't make out where Jenna Kaye was, but she's drinking nonexistent "Kewalo Coffee."

You can, as always, fly to all the top locations from Season 1 (and updating with Season 2) on our "Hawaii Five-0" page on 3DHawaii.com.

Side note: The boys' choir in the background is singing "Hawaii Pono'i," the state song.

CBS Cast Photo Shoot

Just a little something to amp you up even further for next week — a beach shoot with the cast (including new unit member Lori Weston, played by Lauren German) on the gorgeous grounds of the Kahala Hotel & Resort, another favorite location from Season 1.
