Next week's episode, titled "Manao" (pronounced Mah-nah-OH, has many meanings including thought, belief, idea, knowledge), has the following description: A Hawaiian luau turns into a nightmare when the body of a dead cop, who
turns out to be Danny's ex-partner from the Honolulu P.D., is found in
the barbeque pit on the next episode of Hawaii Five-0... Ew.
On the bright side, they're getting another slate of excellent guest actors, including the Big Island's Jason Scott Lee (left), and Bronson Pinchot (below, held by Grace Park). I know it's terrible to typecast actors, but it's going to be a challenge to think of "Balki" as a drug kingpin, which is what Pinchot is purportedly playing. Photos: Neil Jacobs/CBS
As for Hawaii locations, at the top of the clip and in the photo it looks like they're trudging through an irrigation ditch somewhere on the North Shore. There are scenes of pine and coffee trees, so it's likely the area just down Kamehameha Highway from Dole Plantation.
Where Danno punches a HPD officer is in the foyer of the Honolulu Advertiser building. Looks like we're going to see the first of this building playing police headquarters (noted in an earlier post, the real HPD headquarters is a block away from there). Pictured: The Advertiser building at 605 Kapiolani Blvd., sporting the HPD decal.
Not sure where that circular parking garage exit is, but my guess would be the Royal Hawaiian Center's in Waikiki. Anybody have more locations?
